The Longest Table

Privacy Policy

How the Longest Table app handles your information.

The Longest Table app is run by the Lakeland Connect team, the organizers and volunteers behind The Longest Table in Downtown Lakeland, Florida. This page explains what the app collects and why. We only ask for what the event features actually need.

What we collect

Your account: your name and email address from sign-up, and the display name you choose for the app.

Check-ins and points: which participating business you checked in at, the points you earned, and the date and time of each check-in. Your location is used at the moment of a check-in to confirm you are actually at the business, and it is not saved as a location history.

Posts: the photos, captions, and display name you add to the community feed.

Giveaway records: your display name, points total, and prize status, kept so we can award prizes.

What we don't collect

No payment details, no contact list, no advertising identifiers, and no background location tracking. The app does not sell your information.

Who can see it

Your check-ins are visible to you and to the event organizers. Your points total and display name appear on the public leaderboard, and anything you post to the community feed is visible to other guests. Organizers can see all records so they can run the event and award prizes.

How it's stored

The app's data is stored on the Base44 platform. Photos you post to the feed are stored so they can be shown in the app.

Your choices

You can delete your own posts from the feed at any time. To have your account and check-ins removed, ask us through the community group or on the contact page, and we'll take care of it.

Children

The app is a family-friendly event companion, but accounts are meant for guests who can sign up themselves. Parents and guardians should help younger guests with their accounts.

Keeping you posted

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll say so on this page before the next event. Questions about your data are always welcome on the contact page.
